This website is dedicated to the subject of Ruqya. Ruqya means incantations. There are different types of incantations, non Islamic incantations and Islamic incantation. As far as we are concerned we are interested in the Islamic incantations being Muslims. Hence the name Ruqya Shariyah is used.
Ruqya is used to treat people with the help of Allah azawajal for the affects of Sihr (Black Magic), Al-Ayn (Evil Eye) and S'ar (Possession) using Ayaats (verses) of the Qur'an al Kareem and the supplications taught by our beloved Prophet Sallallah alayhi wasallam through the noble Ahadith.
There is a dire need to educate Muslims today and discuss what are the valid and invalid methods and from whom treatment should be sought. Today the Saharah (Magicians) are a big weapon used by Iblees to rob the Muslims of their Imaan, for the Messenger of Allah azawajal said: “Whoever goes to a Magician and believes what he says has disbelieved in the message sent to Muhammad Salallah alayhi wasalam” (Sahih al Jamiyah Hadith 5939). So it is important that the Muslims are aware of the traps of Iblees in using these Saharah and steer well away from such people.
As well as the above we have amongst the Muslim Ummah some who reject concepts such as Sihr, Mass, Evil Eye and some even go to the extent whereby they reject the existence of the Jinn.
The Ruqya Shariyah site consists of Muslim individuals who voluntarily help those that are affected by Sihr (Black Magic), Mass (Possession) or Al-Ayn (Evil Eye).
It was founded on the 9th July 2006 as a yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RuqyaShariyah/. However there was a need to move to a website as the yahoo group would have inappropriate adverts and the members had to go to an external site to download audios and among other issues.
We are here today only by the grace of Allah azza wa-Jall and through His infinite mercy.
I pray to Allah Al-Azeez that he corrects our intention to seek His pleasure alone and I pray that He rewards all those that have contributed to making this site come into existence and those who voluntarily have been sacrificing their time on the Yahoo group and now this website to help the Ummah, with good in this life and Al-Firdous in the next. Ameen
